"Standing Rock Community Car Seat Events" 🚗💖
Promoting Safety & Wellness Across Standing Rock

Standing Rock Service Unit staff recently partnered with Standing Rock Community Health Representatives, Sanford Children’s Health, Medical Staff, and Public Health Nurses to host community events in Fort Yates and McLaughlin focused on child passenger safety and
immunization awareness.

The events have received a wonderful response from the community, with 10 car seats distributed to families in need at the McLaughlin event alone! 👶💙

Additional events are planned throughout September in Cannonball, Sitting Bull College, Kenel, Porcupine, and Little Eagle.

A special thank-you to Dr. Penny Wilkie, Clinical Director, along with Mark Elhardt, Clinical Services Administrator, and Camie Rivers, Clinical Informaticist, for helping spearhead this important initiative.

Together, we’re helping families keep their children safe, healthy, and well across the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation. 💜
