Honoring the Legacy of 9/11

Today, we pause to honor the memory of the fallen and the selfless bravery of the heroes who ran toward danger on September 11, 2001.

Public Safety Dispatcher Kadle who was actively working in Dispatch for the Fortuna Police Department on that fateful day, alongside Public Safety Dispatcher White and Lieutenant Kadle, joined fellow local first responders and community members at the Humboldt County First Responders Memorial Stair Climb.

Honoring those fallen on 9/11 they completed 22 trips up and down the Humboldt Bay training tower to symbolize the 110 flights of stairs climbed by brave first responders in the World Trade Center.

Their steps are a legacy of courage and a promise to remember.
