EXTREME WILDFIRE DANGER

MILLER COUNTY IS UNDER EXTREME WILDFIRE RISK!

Arkansas is facing dangerous fire conditions, with 25 counties at extreme wildfire risk, Red Flag Warnings in southern Arkansas, and burn bans in effect across 50 counties.

Miller County is among those classified at EXTREME risk.

With ongoing drought conditions, extremely dry vegetation, and gusty winds, even the smallest spark could ignite a wildfire that spreads rapidly and threatens homes, property, and lives.

BURN BAN IN EFFECT – NO OUTDOOR BURNING!

We are asking ALL residents to take this threat seriously.

* Avoid outdoor burning and activities that produce sparks.
* Use extreme caution with vehicles, equipment, and anything that generates heat.
* Never discard ci******es or smoking materials outdoors.

SEE SMOKE OR FIRE? CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY!

Early reporting is critical to getting firefighters on scene before a fire grows out of control.

Our volunteer firefighters are ready to respond, but wildfire prevention starts with YOU!

Just a friendly reminder that Miller County is still under a BURN BAN

We get it! Some charging cords are just cheaper, & it feels ridiculous sometimes to only get the cord that comes with the product. Using cords that aren’t designed for a certain item can cause overheating & other issues that lead to fires. Make sure that the cord you use is rated for the item you’re connecting it to. Little things like that can save lives & property. 🔌

This evening some of our firefighters and Chief Bloyd came together for our community and wet down the rodeo arena at the Miller County Fair Grounds for the rodeo this weekend. We will be doing this the next two evenings. Miller County Fair Association
