🇺🇸 FOUNTAIN GREEN CITY VETERANS MEMORIAL UPDATE 🇺🇸
We have some exciting changes happening with the Fountain Green City Veterans Memorial, and we wanted to give everyone an update!
One of the biggest changes is that we now officially have a Fundraising Subcommittee! ❤️🤍💙
This is something we are genuinely excited about. We now have more people at the table bringing new ideas, different strengths, community connections, and helping hands. Instead of the majority of the fundraising planning falling on one or two people, we now have a team that can share the workload and really give each event the attention it deserves.
And one of the first things our new team agreed on was this:
Quality over quantity.
We don’t need to hold a fundraiser every couple of months just for the sake of holding one. We would rather put our time and energy into fewer events, plan them well, give ourselves enough time to promote them properly, and create fundraisers that people are genuinely excited to attend.
Because of that, we have decided to postpone the Veterans Memorial Benefit Cook-Off until May/June 2027.
We know this Cook-Off has already seen some changes, and we truly appreciate everyone who has stuck with us through them. But rather than rush an event just because a date was already on the calendar, we would rather give it the time it deserves.
And we have some BIG plans for it. 👀
The Cook-Off will now be combined with a Co****le Competition at Fountain Green City Park, turning it into a bigger community event with much more time for our new fundraising team to plan, gather some AMAZING PRIZES, organize, promote, and make it something really fun.
In the meantime, our last fundraiser of the year and next opportunity to support the Memorial will be at the Holiday Boutique this November the 6th and 7th, where we’ll be selling custom engraved pavers that will be permanently placed at the Veterans Memorial. We love the idea of purchasing one as a meaningful Christmas gift for someone in your family. 🇺🇸

This Memorial means too much to us to simply rush through fundraiser after fundraiser.
We want every event we hold to have a purpose. We want people to look forward to them. We want them to bring our community together. And we want every dollar we raise to bring us one step closer to giving Fountain Green’s veterans a Memorial worthy of their service.
We have more people around the table now, more ideas coming in, and a whole lot of excitement about where we go from here.
We’re not slowing down — we’re getting organized. We’re building a stronger team, planning better events, and putting our energy where it will make the biggest difference.
And ultimately, we’re building something that will last — and we want to build it right. 🇺🇸❤️🤍💙
