Cynthia MacLean for Framingham Library Trustee

03/23/2025

At yesterday’s early Saturday morning Library Trustee Retreat with my fellow trustees, our Library Director, Assistant Director, and our insightful guest speaker.

We gathered around the board table to reflect on how we can continue to serve the Framingham Public Library and our community with excellence.

Honored to join Mayor Charlie Sisitsky today as he presented the new City of Framingham flag to Lt. Governor Kim Driscoll and Senate President Karen Spilka at the Massachusetts State House earlier today.

Framingham’s journey as a city since 2018 continues to inspire, and it was a privilege to witness this historic moment alongside my husband. As a proud Library Trustee and Vice Chair of the Women, Children, and Families Commission, I’m thrilled to celebrate this milestone for our city. Stay tuned for more photos!

✨Highlight of the Week: On Tuesday, I had the honor of celebrating 45 years of the Main Framingham Public Library It was a wonderful evening of speeches, proclamations, and coming together with community members, elected officials, library staff, and patrons to celebrate this incredible milestone.

The event was co-chaired by Library Director Dawn Dellasanta and Library Trustee Isabella Petroni. The library was dedicated on December 17, 1979.

As a Library Trustee and member of the event planning committee, I’m proud to be part of an institution that has such a deep impact on our community. Here’s to another 45 years of learning, connection, and growth at the heart of Framingham!
