ZeroV thanks First Lady Britainy Beshear and all of our Kentucky neighbors who have helped shine a light on domestic violence this ! It's more than just a color; wearing purple today and throughout October helps identify you as an advocate and a safe person for survivors of domestic violence and lets survivors know, "You're not alone." 💜

Check out our blog post about ZeroV's annual DVAM Ceremony, featuring honored speakers Lt. Governor Jacqueline Coleman and Sen. Julie Raque Adams, as we honored lives lost to intimate partner homicide, raised awareness about domestic violence, and called on our Kentucky stand to keep survivors and our communities safe from violence and abuse: https://www.zerov.org/dvam_2026_blog_dvampressconference

Tonight the mansion is lit purple for Domestic Violence Awareness Month. In the United States, more than 1 in 3 women and 1 in 6 men experience sexual or intimate partner violence during their lifetimes. We must condemn domestic violence for what it is: a heinous crime that has no place in our country.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who joined us yesterday in Frankfort for ZeroV’s Domestic Violence Awareness Month event and remembrance ceremony. Thank you to Lt. Governor Jacqueline Coleman and Senator Julie Raque Adams for joining us to stand with survivors, raise awareness about intimate partner violence, and honor the Kentuckians we have lost to intimate partner homicide.

Coming together reminds us that ending intimate partner violence is a shared responsibility. When we believe survivors, challenge the stigma surrounding abuse, and show survivors that they are seen, heard, and supported, we help build a Kentucky where everyone can live and thrive in safety and peace.

Together, we can create a future free from violence. 💜

Today is the National to demand the passage of the Crime Victims Fund Stabilization Act ( ) to fix and stabilize federal funding for domestic violence services!

🚨 ZeroV’s DV member programs provide free, confidential, and trauma-informed services to survivors and their children in all 120 counties in KY. However, a 40% cut to victim services funding has already forced other victim service providers from across the nation to lay off staff, cut services, and close their doors. The Crime Victims Fund Stabilization Act ( ) can help stabilize funding, ensuring survivors get the help they need when they need it in KY and beyond. Senate leadership must act now!

📢 Call your Senators today and urge them to support, increase, and protect our funding! Call script below and more info at https://www.zerov.org/getloud
