We are currently experiencing a power outage affecting approximately 1,000 members in Anderson, Franklin and Woodford counties.

The outage was caused when a guy wire was struck, resulting in a broken three-phase pole. Crews are working to make the necessary repairs and restore power as safely and quickly as possible.

Our estimated restoration time is no later than 9:30 p.m.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as our crews work to restore service.

🚧TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Two-way Conversion of KY 420 (Ann Street) between Clinton and Broadway Street in Franklin County🚧

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of an upcoming change to the traffic pattern on KY 420 (Ann Street) between Clinton and Broadway Street in Franklin County, where the roadway will be converted from a one-way to a two-way tomorrow, Oct. 20.

As part of the active resurfacing project, pavement markings and roadway signs will be installed on KY 420 (Ann Street) on Tuesday, Oct. 20, with intermittent lane closures possible to support the work. The new traffic pattern is being implemented to support an upcoming highway safety improvement project that will also convert Mero Street from one-way to two-way traffic between St. Clair Street and Ann Street.

Motorists should adhere to the new traffic pattern and exercise caution on this newly configured roadway.

🚧TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Overnight Alternating Lane Closures on KY 420 Beginning Thursday, Oct. 15, in Franklin County🚧

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of overnight alternating lane closures on KY 420 beginning Thursday, Oct. 15, in Franklin County.

Overnight alternating lane closures will occur from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., beginning Thursday, Oct. 15, and continuing through Friday, Oct. 23, on KY 420 from mile point 4.1 (at the intersection of W. Main Street and Ann Street) to mile point 4.6 (at the intersection of St. Clair Street and Clinton Street). The overnight alternating lane closures are necessary for contract crews to safely perform milling and paving operations.

The resurfacing work supports an ongoing highway safety improvement project that includes converting KY 2261 (Ann Street) from one-way to two-way traffic between KY 420 (Mero Street) and Broadway Street, as well as converting KY 420 (Mero Street) between St. Clair Street and Ann Street to two-way traffic. The all-way stop installed at the intersection of Mero and Ann Streets on Sept. 30 and the Oct. 8 traffic pattern change on Ann Street are part of these coordinated efforts.

Motorists should heed signage, use caution when traveling through the work zone, and plan ahead for travel delays.

Please bring your propane tanks to HHW on 10/17, NOT to Franklin County Conservation District 's scrap metal collection Oct 22-24th.
