Meet Jillian. Jillian reached out to us a couple years back and thankfully we were able to make the connection to get her the help she needed as she began her journey against breast cancer.
Jillian lives with metastasized stage 4 cancer and admits she has good days and bad, but she makes sure NOBODY has to face this fight alone.
Today Jillian hosted the second annual More Than Pink event in Louisville. Hearing stories and celebrating dozens of women at various stages of their own journey against cancer is powerful in ways words simply cannot adequately explain.
But, through it all, Jillian's tireless work has accomplished exactly what she said (and hoped) it would - nobody has to fight breast cancer alone.

The Kentucky Breast Cancer Research and Education Trust Fund - BCTF is accepting applications for FY28 funding through Monday, October 19, 2026 at 11:59 PM EST.

The BCTF was created in June 2005 in accordance with KRS 211.580. The purpose of the Trust Fund grant is to distribute funds to support breast cancer research, education, treatment, screening, and awareness in Kentucky. The trust fund consists of monies collected from individual state income tax donations, from the sale of the "Driving for a Cure" license plates and any other proceeds. Trust fund monies are allocated through a competitive grant process to provide funding to not-for-profit entities, educational institutions, and governmental agencies in Kentucky (e.g., Local Health Departments). Preference for funding is given to entities that will target underserved populations and link individuals to cancer screening services.

Use the following link to access the application: KDPH Division of Women's Health Breast Cancer Trust Fund Application https://redcap.chfs.ky.gov/surveys/?s=3DD7RHH3DJRCK9RY

All applicants must be not-for-profit and may need to provide documentation.

Grant Period: FY28 (July 1, 2027 - June 30, 2028). The max funding amount will be $20,000. Special consideration will be given to those whose grants may require additional funding due to the multiple cities or larger populations.

Each applicant must attend ONE mandatory virtual meeting prior to completion of this application. Registration is required.

You may attend more than one if needed. If you cannot attend any of the meeting dates or have questions concerning this application, email [email protected].
