Get your throwing arms ready, Bobcat fans! The Bobcat Boutique Fall Carnival is happening this Saturday, October 24, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, and you won't want to miss your chance to send these local celebs splashing into the water! 🎡🍂

Attention 10th Grade Families! 💚🦅

We are so excited about our new partnership with Future Plans and the GRIT Project! To help our sophomores prepare for life after graduation, they will participate in a unique 5-step career readiness journey right here at school:

📋 Step 1: The Assessment – Students will take a specialized assessment to map out their unique interests, aptitudes, and strengths.
💬 Step 2: Coaching – A 45-to-60 minute virtual session with a certified career coach to review results and look at career matches.
🔍 Step 3: Discovery – Hands-on workforce exposure through career events, facility tours, job shadowing, and targeted job fairs!
🛠️ Step 4: Prepare – Building readiness through apprenticeships, work programs, internships, and industry-recognized credentials.
🎯 Step 5: Place – Finalizing a personalized plan so each student graduates with the confidence to enter employment, higher education, or military service.

Our students officially stepped onto campus for Marshall University’s annual Green & White Day! 💚🤍

Our upperclassmen had an incredible time exploring different majors, discovering exciting career paths, and seeing what future university life is all about. 🎓✨ They also got a first-hand look at the campus with an official tour of Marshall’s beautiful facilities and enjoyed lunch on campus! 🍔🏫

A huge thank you to the Marshall Admissions and Financial Aid teams for sitting down with our students and answering all their questions. 📝💼

We might have a few future Thundering Herds in our midst! 🦅🐾

🇺🇸 Save the Date: Green Local Schools Veterans Day Assembly will be Wednesday, November 11 at 10:00 AM.

*High School Announcements*

📆: Students in Grades 7-12, the Fire of the Furnace, your marching band, will compete this Saturday, October 17th, at Valley High School. If you are interested in riding a pep bus to watch them perform, please sign up in the main office with Mrs.Vicki. We need at least 15 students to schedule the bus. We would leave at 3:45 and return at approximately 6:45. Admission and concession stand allowance will be provided.

🏹 : There will be an Archery meeting, Monday October 19th in the Alumni gym at 7:00 pm

🖥️: All students in grades 7-12 have been added to Mrs.Sheila's Internet Safety classroom. Students need to read the slides, watch the videos, then take the Exit Exam. Deadline to complete is December 14th; if it is not completed you will be required to come on the contingency day. If you have any questions please see Mrs.Sheila.

First nine weeks report cards will be sent home Friday, October 16. As we begin a new nine weeks, we encourage families to celebrate their child’s accomplishments and set a new goal for continued growth!

There will be no school for students next week! We hope everyone enjoys a wonderful fall break.
