Protect yourself and your family - get a free flu shot today!

Fight Flu is coming up on October 20!

Local county health departments across Tennessee will offer free flu shots as part of the statewide 2026 Fight Flu prevention effort.

There are several ways to help protect yourself and those around you from the flu. Along with getting an annual flu shot, you can help reduce the spread of illness by washing your hands, covering coughs and sneezes, and staying home when you’re sick.

This October and November, we are celebrating the Pink and Pearl Campaign. This campaign combines awareness for both breast and lung cancer. We encourage all women to know their risk factors and check with their healthcare provider for screening recommendations.

🩺 Sevier County neighbors: free health fair coming Oct. 22–23!

Mountain Hope Good Shepherd Clinic, Inc. is hosting a two-day health fair at its main location, 312 Prince St. in Sevierville, in partnership with East Tennessee State University's Quillen College of Medicine.

Available to eligible participants:
✅ Free health screenings
✅ Limited lab work
✅ Vaccinations from the Sevier County Health Department
✅ Community resources from local organizations, plus Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee

Eligibility is based on household income and size. Appointments are required and fill up fast, so call 865-774-7684 to reserve your spot.

Big things are happening in Oak Ridge! 🏥

TCCN member The Free Medical Clinic is transforming the city's long-empty National Guard Armory into a new home for free, comprehensive care, with a planned opening in early 2027.

The new facility will bring:
🩺 More than double the primary care exam rooms (5 → 11)
🧠 Five times the mental health space (1 → 5 rooms)
👓 Expanded vision services with updated technology
🦷 A brand-new free dental program
🚐 Eight mobile community health units

Bringing these services under one roof means fewer trips, fewer missed workdays, and less juggling of childcare for patients who are already stretched thin.
