📜 October is American Archives Month! 📜

Every deed, letter, photograph, and court record tells a piece of Williamson County’s story, and here at Williamson County Archives and Museum, we’re honored to collect and protect these stories for our community.

Archives aren’t just dusty boxes on a shelf. They’re where families trace their roots, students uncover local history, researchers find answers, and our whole community stays connected to the people, places, and moments that shaped it. From marriage records to maps, from family Bibles to local history books, our collections carry the voices of those who came before us.

This month, we invite you to celebrate with us! 🗂️
✨ Explore our collections in-person or online
✨ Start (or continue!) your family history research
✨ Visit our newest exhibit in the County Museum

Have old documents or photos tucked away in an attic or closet? They might hold an important piece of our county’s history. Reach out to learn how we can help preserve them.

Thank you for helping us keep Williamson County’s past alive.

The full closure of I-65 from the I-40 interchange (Exit 210) to near the I-440 interchange (Exit 80) is *THIS WEEKEND*. The closure allows crews to safely demolish the Hamilton Avenue bridge deck over I-65 in Davidson County. Additionally, we will fully close the I-65 northbound on-ramp from Armory Drive and I-65 northbound & southbound on-ramp from Powell Avenue to allow traffic on I-65 to merge onto I-440 without conflict. The full closure will run Friday, October 16, at 8 p.m., through Monday, October 19, at 5 a.m

From the Tennessee Secretary of State We have received several calls and emails about a false social media post. The claim is incorrect. In Tennessee, a ballot is not disqualified simply because an election official or poll worker makes an administrative notation on it.
For transparency and public awareness, we are sharing a screenshot of the post in question to address the misinformation directly.
For accurate information about voting procedures or your ballot, turn to trusted election officials rather than social media posts or rumors. The Tennessee Secretary of State's Division of Elections can assist voters at 1-877-850-4959.
