Example Email Draft:

Dear member of the Texas State Board of Education,

I am writing to express my opinion on the social studies curriculum that will be voted on at the end of your meeting Friday, June 19th.

It is Vital that our students are taught true and correct history so they can be well informed citizens. We must use Texas Historical Founding Documents like Texas Declaration of Independence, the Constitution of the Republic of Texas, and the Letters of William Barrett Travis from The Alamo as we teach about Texas.

When talking about American history we need to focus on original source documents from the founders like the the US Constitution and Declaration of Independence, the Federalist Papers, Jefferson‘s letter to the Danbury Baptist Church, George Washington’s Thanksgiving Proclamation, The Mayflower Compact, The Emancipation Proclamation, and The Gettysburg Address.

Texans are completely opposed to language on Sharia or Islamic content. We must not allow false narratives like "the Alamo is designed to resemble a Muslim mosque" to be repeated in any academic setting.

And last, but by no means least, we ask each of you to vote against ALL Democratic amendments.

Standing together you can send a clear message that Texans will not approve of attempts to water down our principles or re-imagine the unequivocal facts of American and Texas exceptionalism.

We appreciate all the work you do for the millions of Texas children and appreciate your willingness to support a true and factual social studies curriculum.

Sincerely,
[your name and contact information]

Robertson County parents, take action!!!
They are coming for your kids by trying to undermine and weaken our curriculum by subverting lies about our Country and our states founding.

At the Texas State Convention this past weekend, there were two Muslims as delegates from Harris County there.
One was the founder of CAIR Texas ( Council for American Islamic relations ) designated a terrorist organization, and with ties to the Muslim Brotherhood. The second man sits on the board. Why were they there when Islam is anything but compatible with our western or conservative values?

There are directions in this post for where to send emails and how to sign up to go in person give public testimony.

REMINDER! The SBOE meeting with final vote on Social Studies TEKS is next Monday June 22. We need conservative voices encouraging board members to vote for the proposed TEKS without amendments. Liberals and representatives from the Muslim Brotherhood are trying to weaken the curriculum and insert Islamic influence into American and Texan history.

Please stand with True Texas Project and other grassroots groups to protect social studies curriculum in Texas public schools.
