🍎🌟 The Great Apple Crunch is bringing agriculture into classrooms across county lines! 🍏

We loved visiting Mrs. Cramer’s 3rd grade class at Triton Central Elementary School to celebrate the Indiana Great Apple Crunch! Students explored apples, engaged their senses, and learned more about the fruit that makes fall so delicious. 🍎🔬

One exciting benefit of Purdue Extension’s new regional model is that 4-H Educators can work beyond their home-base county lines to connect with schools and students in other counties! This creates new opportunities to share the world of 4-H, agriculture, science, and healthy living with even more Hoosier youth. 🌱💚

Thank you, Mrs. Cramer and Triton Central Elementary, for welcoming us into your classroom! We’re excited to keep growing connections and making an impact, one classroom (and one CRUNCH!) at a time!

3… 2… 1… CRUNCH! 🍎

🍎 Today was all about apples at Pleasant Crossing Elementary 🍏

After their two-week Fall Break, we visited all the 3rd grade classrooms to celebrate the Indiana Great Apple Crunch! Students put their senses to the test by tasting Granny Smith, McIntosh, Cosmic Crisp, and Honeycrisp apples, comparing their taste, smell, feel, and appearance. They also explored the different parts of an apple and learned a little more about the science behind this favorite fall fruit! 🍎🔬

A big thank you to Pleasant Crossing Elementary School for letting us join in the fun! We loved helping students connect Indiana agriculture, science, and healthy eating one CRUNCH at a time! 🌱
