What an incredible day celebrating our community!

On behalf of everyone at Raymond Fire & Rescue, we want to extend a HUGE thank you to everyone who helped make our 2026 Safety Day & Community Open House such a wonderful event!

❤️ To Our Sponsors & Donors: Your generosity and support helped bring this event to life! Whether you contributed financially, donated raffle or silent auction items, provided supplies, or supported us in other ways, please know how much your kindness means to our department. We are incredibly fortunate to have businesses, organizations, and individuals who believe in supporting our first responders and our community.

🚒 To Our Community: Thank you for spending part of your Saturday with us! Seeing so many families, smiling faces, and excited kids exploring the fire trucks, meeting our crews, and learning about fire safety is exactly why we love hosting this event. We hope you had as much fun as we did!

👏 To Our Members, Volunteers & Everyone Behind the Scenes: From months of planning and preparation to setting up, working the event, and cleaning up afterward, your hard work and dedication did not go unnoticed. We couldn't have done it without you!

Events like Safety Day are about so much more than fire trucks and activities. They're about building relationships, sharing important safety information, and bringing neighbors together.

❤️🚒 Your support makes a difference, and we can't wait to see everyone again next year!

🎉🚒 Congratulations to Drea and Michael! 🚒🎉

Please join us in congratulating Drea on starting with South Shore Fire Department and Michael on starting with Racine Fire Department!

We couldn’t be prouder of you both! ❤️

Raymond Fire & Rescue is honored to continue playing a part in your fire service careers. Watching our members grow, achieve their goals, and take these exciting next steps is something we are incredibly proud of!

Both Drea and Michael will be taking some time away from RFRD as they complete their fire academies, but they are still very much part of our RFRD family!

We can’t wait to see where your careers take you and look forward to having you back with us after the academy!

Today marks the beginning of the Racine County Fire Academy Class 5!

Class 5 brings nine recruits together from South Shore Fire Department Mt. Pleasant, WI, Caledonia Fire Department, and the Racine Fire Department.

Today they started with expectations, and over the next six weeks they will take on new challenges and skills.

We wish them luck on this journey! Be sure to follow our page for updates 🚒

The future of EMS starts with people who feel called to serve. 💙

The Gold Cross Ambulance Scholarship helps support students pursuing a career as a paramedic while honoring the legacy of Steven E. Gerbers, a longtime Gold Cross team member who dedicated 29 years to helping people in their time of need.

Two $1,000 scholarships are available for eligible full-time paramedic students at select Wisconsin technical colleges. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.5; we also consider community service, healthcare experience, and financial need.

Applications are due December 1.

🎀 October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month! 🎀

At Raymond Fire & Rescue, we stand with the fighters, celebrate the survivors, honor those we have lost, and support the families and loved ones affected by breast cancer. 💗

Breast cancer touches so many lives, including members of our own community. This month serves as an important reminder that awareness, early detection, and support can make a difference.

💕 Know your body. Be aware of changes and talk with your healthcare provider about any concerns.

💕 Stay proactive. Keep up with recommended screenings and mammograms. Early detection can save lives!

💕 Support one another. Whether it's offering a helping hand, checking in on a friend, or simply being there to listen, even the smallest gestures can make a big difference.

To those currently fighting, we stand beside you. To the survivors, we celebrate you. And to those we have lost, we honor your memory.

🚒 At Raymond Fire & Rescue, protecting our community goes beyond responding to emergencies. It also means helping raise awareness about important health issues that affect our neighbors, friends, and families.

💗 This October, let's come together to spread awareness, encourage early detection, and remind those affected by breast cancer that they are never alone.

Occupational cancer remains one of the greatest threats to firefighter health. Protecting our members starts with simple, consistent safety habits on every call:

• Wear your SCBA through overhaul: toxic fumes remain long after the fire is out.
• Perform field decontamination on turnout gear before loading it into apparatus.
• Wash gear promptly and shower within an hour of returning to the station.

Our commitment to service means taking care of the firefighters who protect Wisconsin every day.
