Calling All Artists! Help Tell Frederick's Story Through Art

The Town of Frederick Arts Committee invites artists to send in original designs for a mural at the Engineering Building at 323 Fifth Street. This mural will honor Frederick’s mining history, celebrate our community today, and look forward to a bright future. There’s lots of inspiration here, from our mining heritage and hot-air balloons to local traditions, parks, and the people who make Frederick unique.

We encourage artists to create a colorful, welcoming design that tells Frederick’s story. The chosen artist will turn an 80-foot-long, 11-foot-tall wall into a vibrant mural for everyone in Frederick to enjoy for years.

𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗯𝘂𝗱𝗴𝗲𝘁: $19,000, which covers artist fees, materials, and installation
𝗦𝘂𝗯𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗱𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲: Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at 5 pm
