🚨 FRAUD PREVENTION AT THE GOLDEN HUB 🚨

We had a very informative Fraud Prevention Presentation during lunch today at the Golden Hub!

A special thank you to Sheriff Ayala from the Fredericksburg Police Department and Laurie Hartman from Security State Bank for taking the time to visit with our seniors and share some great tips on how to recognize scams, protect personal information, and avoid becoming a victim of fraud.

Fraud and scams are becoming more common and sophisticated, so knowing what to watch for can make such a difference. We truly appreciate them helping educate our seniors and giving everyone helpful information to stay safe and protect themselves. ❤️

🎉🎂 Happy 49th Birthday to our Meals on Wheels Coordinator, Stephanie Borda! 🎂🎉

Stephanie celebrated her 49th birthday on September 29, but we have been so busy here at The Golden Hub that we just now got the chance to celebrate her with some birthday cake and ice cream! 🍰🍦🥳

Stephanie has been a part of our Golden Hub family for an incredible 26 years! ❤️ She puts so much heart into our Meals on Wheels program, caring for our homebound seniors, working closely with our wonderful volunteer drivers, and helping make sure our clients receive not only a nutritious meal but also a friendly smile and someone checking in on them.
And if you enjoy keeping up with everything happening at The Golden Hub on Facebook, Stephanie is also the person behind the posts! 📱💻 She handles our social media and works hard to keep our community informed about our programs, activities, special events, Meals on Wheels updates, and all the fun happening around the Hub.

Stephanie wears many hats, and we are so thankful for her 26 years of dedication, compassion, creativity, and service to The Golden Hub and the seniors of Gillespie County. ❤️

Please help us wish Stephanie a very Happy 49th Birthday! 🎈🎁🎂 We hope this next year brings her many blessings, lots of happiness, and plenty of reasons to smile!

💜 HELP US MAKE THIS CLASS HAPPEN! 💜

The Golden Hub is partnering with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension to offer Yes, I Can Manage My Diabetes, a FREE four-week diabetes self-management program!

We need at least 20 people to register for this class to take place, so please sign up and help us spread the word! This program will offer practical support for managing Type 2 diabetes, developing healthier habits, and connecting with others in an encouraging environment.

October 14, 21 and 28, and November 4
