Financial abuse can keep domestic violence survivors trapped, even after the abusive relationship ends. This year, I co-sponsored legislation to support stronger legal protections for survivors who have been coerced into debt and help them rebuild their lives.

Illinois Democrats refuse to rein in state spending and continue to look for more ways to tax the people of Illinois. I'm prepared to strike down ANY new taxes during Veto session and will only support new policies that bring families and businesses relief.

Illinois families are already paying enough. It’s time to stop the tax hikes and get state spending under control.

Illinois House and Senate Republicans are calling on the General Assembly to repeal several new taxes created at the end of the spring session.

Prosperity comes from growing Illinois’ economy, not continually raising taxes. Democrats continue to push higher taxes that leave hardworking families and businesses footing the bill and I think it's time to rein in state spending and lower taxes.
