Banned Books Week is October 4-10 this year. It gives us some time to focus on why books might be banned in different parts of the country, in different institutions, and it gives us a chance to educate ourselves on why they should NEVER be banned. We have the Freedom, to read, to think, and to choose for ourselves and our children what WE want to read. I've linked the the "Freedom To Read" statement, from the American Library Association here: https://www.ala.org/advocacy/intfreedom/freedomreadstatement

This is hosted by the library, at the school, and will be provided by the educators at Mount Washington Observatory with a grant from Connected Learning Ecosystems - a part of Learning Ecosystems Northeast, which is funded by NASA to help children and teens learn about science and nature.
