🥎 **FREEHOLD SOFTBALL FAMILIES — HELP US BUILD SOMETHING FOR SPRING 2027!** 🥎
**Have a daughter ages 13–16 who wants to keep playing softball? We want to hear from you!**
As girls get older, school sports, travel teams, and other commitments often make it difficult to form recreational softball teams. Unfortunately, that can leave girls who still love the game without a place to play.
**Freehold Township Little League wants to change that.**
We're getting an early start on Spring 2027 by building an interest list for our 13U–16U softball divisions. Our goal is simple: find out how many girls in our community want to play and work toward giving them that opportunity.

The Henry Hudson Trail should be very picturesque this time of year.

Who plans to walk, jog, or bike it to see the leaves changing color?

This trail follows the route of a former rail line built to connect inland farms with Keyport’s busy waterfront. In 1880, a line from Freehold to the Keyport Pier was completed, allowing fresh farm products to be transported quickly to shipping points along the bay. By 1889, the line was extended to Atlantic Highlands by the Freehold and Atlantic Highlands Railroad, later part of the Central Railroad Company of New Jersey (CNJ). This expanded rail access gradually reduced the need for long piers reaching into the bay, reshaping how goods and passengers moved through the region.
