Freehold Township Ind. Fire Company #1

Yesterday, Members of the Freehold Township Independent Fire Company completed a live burn at the Monmouth County Fire Academy.

Live burn training provides our firefighters with valuable hands-on experience, allowing them to sharpen their skills, practice firefighting tactics, and strengthen teamwork in a controlled training environment.

We are committed to continuous training and preparedness to ensure our members are ready to respond when our community needs us most.

A big thank you to the instructors and staff at the Monmouth County Fire Marshal's Office and Fire Academy for providing these important training opportunities!

Yesterday, six members of our fire company proudly participated in the 25th Anniversary Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk in New York City.

The Tunnel to Towers 5K honors the sacrifice of FDNY Firefighter Stephen Siller, who made the ultimate sacrifice on September 11, 2001, along with the many first responders and military members who have given their lives in service to others.

Our members were honored to join thousands of participants from across the country in remembering those heroes and carrying their legacy forward.

Never Forget.

This past weekend, our members answered 13 calls, helping provide timely assistance and support to people in our community when they needed it most. They also staffed the station for more than 50 hours, with at least four members present throughout, ensuring a strong and dependable emergency response.

Our crews arrived on scene within approximately 6 minutes. These response times reflect our team’s readiness and help ensure that community members receive help as quickly as possible during emergencies.

This level of service is made possible by the dedication, preparation, and commitment of our members. We are incredibly proud of everyone who answered the call, remained ready to respond, and helped strengthen the safety and well-being of our community.

Our primary responsibility is to serve and protect the people of our community, and this weekend our members demonstrated the meaningful difference that commitment makes.

On September 11, 2026, members of the Freehold Township Independent Fire Company gathered alongside the Freehold Township Committee, residents, Freehold Township Police Department Officers, and Freehold Emergency Medical Services members to remember and honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001.

May we never forget the lives that were lost, the families forever changed, and the courage displayed by so many in the face of unimaginable tragedy.
