FREMONT, Ohio — Participating in regional multi-agency operations like Operation Lifeboat is a critical component of our fight against online child sexploitation. I commend the Ottawa County Prosecutors Office and all participating agencies.

The Fremont Police Department continues to proactively search for, identify, and bring to prosecution those people who would attempt to exploit children in our community. In addition to the operation, we announce the following recent arrests;

-Hemant Patel,66, of Portage, Michigan was charged with Compelling Prostitution, Attempted Unlawful Sexual Conduct with a Minor, and Importuning.

-Ryan A. Moran, 48, of Belle Center, was charged with Compelling Prostitution, Attempted Unlawful Sexual Conduct with a Minor, and Importuning.

-Steven Peart, 46, of Toledo, was charged with Compelling Prostitution, Attempted Unlawful Sexual Conduct with a Minor, and Importuning.

-Scott A. Johnson, 39, of Toledo, Ohio was charged with Compelling Prostitution, Attempted Unlawful Sexual Conduct with a Minor, and Importuning.

Investigations continue and will likely result in additional arrests and criminal charges when criminal cases are presented to a Sandusky County Grand Jury.

Today, the Fremont Police Department joins our community and our nation in remembering the lives lost on September 11, 2001.
On this day, we honor the innocent victims, the first responders, law enforcement officers, firefighters, military personnel, and countless others who demonstrated extraordinary courage and selflessness in the face of unimaginable tragedy.
Twenty-five years later, we continue to remember those we lost and recognize the bravery and sacrifice of those who answered the call to help others.
May we never forget. 🇺🇸
