There’s a lot of information out there about the proposed changes to Head Start, and it can be hard to know where to start.

I’m sharing NHSA’s Parent Guide because it breaks down what is being proposed in a way that is easier to understand. It helped me learn more about the changes being considered and how they could affect the parts of Head Start that families experience every day.

If you’re a Head Start parent or caregiver, your experience is something federal decision-makers should hear as they consider changes to the Head Start standards.

I know submitting a public comment can sound complicated, but NHSA created a How to Comment Guide that makes the process easier to understand. It explains where to submit a comment, what you might want to include, and how to tell your own Head Start story.
