Every job matters, and every employee makes a difference. During Disability Employment Awareness Month, we're celebrating the many workers with disabilities who help keep our communities running strong. πŸ‚πŸŽƒ Fall Fun, Family, and Community! πŸŽƒπŸ‚

Our Autumn Family FUNction was one for the books!

On Friday, October 9, families and individuals served by SCBDD gathered at The Petal Patch in Fremont to celebrate all things fall. From decorating pumpkins and enjoying the beautiful autumn weather to friendly games of outdoor Jenga, tic-tac-toe, and co****le, there was no shortage of smiles, laughter, and connection.

A special thank you goes out to Andrea of Mimi’s Fancy Faces Facepainting for generously donating her time and supplies to create amazing face paint designs for our kiddos. We also want to thank Marissa at The Petal Patch for helping coordinate the space. Your kindness helped make the day even more memorable!

Of course, one of the highlights of the afternoon was our costume contest. With so many creative costumes, choosing winners was no easy task! Congratulations to our Spirit Trophy recipients:

πŸ† Cutest Duo: Jack Skellington & Zero the Dog
🧟 Spookiest: Zombie Girl
🍟 Funniest & Silliest: Ketchup & Fries
🦎 Most Unique: Axolotl

Add in pizza, snacks, plenty of fall sunshine, and wonderful company, and it was the perfect recipe for a memorable afternoon.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this season’s Family FUNction such a special event. Enjoy a few photos from a warm autumn day filled with friendship, fun, and community! ❀️🍁
