Fremont's 14th Annual Manufacturing Week was a great success! Nearly 500 K-12 and college students participated in 16 facility tours at advanced manufacturing companies throughout Fremont, showcasing the breadth of innovation and technology across our semiconductor, electronics, cleantech, AI, and robotics sectors. Manufacturing Week is an opportunity for students to learn about career pathways and engage with seasoned industry professional, inspiring our next generation of leaders to pursue careers in manufacturing. Thank you to all our industry and academic partners who participated!

Join us, NBC Bay Area, and the Tri City Animal Shelter this Saturday from 5 to 9 PM at the Fremont Downtown Event Center Plaza (3500 Capitol Ave.) for a tail-wagging good time! This FREE, family-friendly event features hands-on dog-themed crafts, local vendors, live music, food trucks, dog adoptions, dog handling demonstrations and trainings, and a low-cost pet vaccination clinic. Come celebrate our four-legged friends and connect with the community! 100 lucky dogs will get a free Ben & Jerry’s doggy ice cream🐾

Big news for Fremont: The 880 Technology Center is now fully leased just months after its completion! Home to leading AI and EV companies, the 400,000 square foot campus reinforces Fremont’s position as a hub for advanced manufacturing and technology. On Thursday, May 1, 2025, the heart of Downtown Fremont came alive with innovation and energy as community members, students, and industry leaders gathered for the 2nd Annual Fremont Engineering Expo! In partnership with Fremont Unified School District and Mission Valley ROP, this free, family-friendly event at the Downtown Event Center was a vibrant celebration of creativity, collaboration, and cutting-edge technology.

Attendees explored an impressive showcase of engineering projects from local students, whose hands-on displays were innovative. The event not only spotlighted the talent of Fremont’s future engineers but also strengthened ties between education, industry, and the local community.

Thanks to everyone who made the 2025 Engineering Expo such a success. We can’t wait to see what’s in store next year!
