πŸŽƒπŸ‘» BOO! DID SOMEONE SAY FREE CANDY?! πŸ¬πŸš’

Calling all ghosts, goblins, witches, superheroes, little monsters, and even those adults who claim they're "just here for the kids!" πŸ˜‚πŸ§™β€β™€οΈ

🚨 The Fire Department is trading fire hoses for candy bowls this Halloween! 🚨

Come haunt us in front of the Odd Fellows Hall on Saturday, October 31st, starting at 5:00 PM!

🍭 We've got CANDY!
πŸŽƒ We want to see your COSTUMES!
πŸ‘» We promise not to judge your spooky dance moves!
πŸš’ And our firefighters are ready for some frighteningly good conversation!

Whether you're dressed to scare, dressed to impress, or just wearing your everyday face (hey, some of us are scary enough without a costume! 🀣), WE WANT TO SEE YOU!

Don't make us sit out there all alone with a mountain of candy. You KNOW what happens when firefighters get bored and have too much sugar! πŸ€ͺ🍫

πŸ¦‡ So grab your little monsters, dust off those costumes, and come say hello!

We're DYING to see you! πŸ’€πŸ˜‚

πŸŽƒ Happy Halloween from your local firefighters! πŸš’β€οΈ

πŸ‚πŸͺœ Chief’s Safety Message: Fall Ladder Safety

As we get ready for the fall season, many of us will be cleaning gutters, trimming trees, hanging decorations, and preparing our homes for the colder months ahead.

Before you climb that ladder, remember that one wrong step can lead to a serious injury!

πŸͺœ Ladder Safety Tips:

- Inspect your ladder for damage before each use.
- Place ladders on firm, level ground.
- Always maintain three points of contact while climbing.
- Never stand on the top step of a stepladder.
- Avoid overreaching. Move the ladder instead!
- Keep ladders at least 10 feet away from power lines.
- For extension ladders, use the 4-to-1 rule: one foot out for every four feet of height.
- Never use a ladder during high winds or wet, slippery conditions.

🍁 Remember: The only thing we want falling this season is the leaves β€” NOT YOU!

Take your time, use the right equipment, and make safety your first priority.

Stay safe,
Chief Michael Steineke

🚨 NEW DISASTER INFORMATION APP β€” AWARE CA 🚨

There’s a new app available called Aware CA to help keep our community informed during emergencies and disasters.

Much like Watch Duty, Aware CA provides information and updates about local fires, disasters, evacuations, and other emergency situations.

πŸ“± Aware CA is available for both Android and Apple users:
β€’ Android users can download it from the Google Play Store.
β€’ Apple iPhone users can download it from the Apple App Store.

Having more than one reliable source of information during an emergency is always a good idea. We encourage everyone to check out Aware CA, download the app, and stay informed.

Stay aware. Stay prepared. Stay safe.
