April 25 is filling up quickly, and this is one of those events you will want on your calendar.

The Bygone Bazaar Spring Market at the Meux Home Museum brings together a curated mix of local vendors, each offering something a little different. As you walk the grounds, you will find handmade jewelry, upcycled goods, candles and soaps, herbal teas and elixirs, garden plants and crafts, leather pieces, vintage treasures, estate finds, and seasonal home décor. There is a little bit of everything, and more than a few pieces you will not expect.

It is the kind of market where you slow down, take your time, and actually enjoy the experience. Talk with the vendors. Ask questions. Find something that feels like it belongs with you.

Our museum booth will also be open, with proceeds directly supporting the preservation of the Meux Home. That support keeps the doors open and the story of this house alive for future generations.

Easter has a way of slowing things down a bit, giving us time to be with the people we love and just enjoy the season changing around us.

We’ll be closed this Easter Sunday in observance of the holiday, but we’ll be back open next weekend during our regular hours.

We are so excited to welcome you back. The Meux Home Museum reopens for tours this Friday, February 6th, starting at 12 pm. The house is looking absolutely stunning and ready to be seen, every room dressed, every detail glowing, and every story waiting to be shared.

Tours are offered Friday through Sunday, beginning at 12 pm, with the last tour starting at 3 pm. If you have been missing the Meux Home or have never experienced it in person, this is your moment. Come wander the rooms, take your time, and see the house in all its beauty and history.

This is truly something special, so come discover the Gilded Age in downtown Fresno. We cannot wait to open the doors and welcome you back inside.

Seasonal Closure Notice

The Meux Home Museum is closed for the month of January for deep cleaning and an exhibit reset as we prepare for the year ahead.

We will reopen the first weekend of February and look forward to welcoming you back.

Each room has been transformed into a storybook scene, filled with wonder, history, and a touch of nostalgia.

Bring your family and friends to experience the charm of the season, explore the beauty of our Gilded Age home, and see why Fairytale Christmas at the Meux is a tradition unlike any other.

There’s magic in the air at the Meux Home Museum this season. Come see the stunning foyer tree and discover all the wonderful things happening here by joining one of our regular tours or attending one of our special holiday events.

A big thank you to the Fresno Hoover High School students from the Hoover Horticultural Class for volunteering their time and talent to help prepare the foyer tree for this year’s Fairytale Christmas. Their creativity and care have set the stage for something truly special.

A Fairytale Christmas Tea at the Meux Home Museum

Step into a storybook this holiday season at the Meux Home Museum. On Saturday, December 6, our historic home will transform into a Christmas dream, where each room glimmers with the charm of a different Victorian fairytale.

Guests will enjoy a two-hour experience beginning with tea service in our beautifully decorated Carriage House, followed by a guided tour through the Gilded Age home itself. Between sips and stories, you’ll discover craft demonstrations inspired by 19th-century holiday traditions and a silent auction filled with treasures to take home.

Every ticket purchased helps preserve this beloved landmark for generations to come.
