Habitat for Humanity Greater Fresno Area Habitat Greater Fresno Area helps families realize strength & stability through affordable shelter.

Habitat for Humanity Greater Fresno Area seeks to end poverty housing in Fresno and Madera counties by uniting individuals, families, and communities to build decent, affordable housing. We work in partnership with God and people everywhere, from all walks of life, to develop communities. We do this by building and renovating houses so there are decent homes in decent communities where people can live and grow. Habitat is based on the conviction that Christian discipleship must be lived out in practical ways which help to lift burdens from the shoulders of others.

The interest form is now OPEN! We're actively recruiting for two new Habitat homes in Reedley, but will accept submissions from anyone within Fresno and Madera counties for other future projects. Please get your submissions in by 11:59 P.M. on October 20th. After that, the form will close once more! Your information will stay on our list for two years. Our office has already received several calls. These companies are not associated with Habitat for Humanity and should be reported. Thank you to Pearson Realty for donating all their office furniture and equipment to our organization! We'll keep a portion to use administratively as we prepare for some big changes in the near future (stay tuned!). We recently selected another future homeowner for our upcoming Firebaugh development! Lupita Rangel is a single mother of one who lives in a 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom apartment alongside her daughter, mother, and goddaughter. Their apartment suffers from improper cooling, water damage, and mold. An electrical short recently ignited a bathroom fire and the landlord has refused to replace the exhaust fan that caused the emergency. Lupita frequently repairs as much as she can out of her own pocket, though the landlord rarely, if ever, reimburses her while increasing rent every two years. We are SO looking forward to helping Lupita and her family get out of their current living conditions and into a new Habitat home! Congratulations, Lupita!

ANNOUNCEMENT: The first step of our homeownership process is changing! As of today, we are no longer accepting interest form submissions year-round. Instead, the form will open during specific periods throughout the year. Our team will announce submission periods here on social media and over on our website.

Have you already submitted a homeownership interest form within the last two years? Then you're all set! Your information is still valid and will be considered for future projects.

ICYMI: One of our CORE volunteers won a brand new car on The Price is Right! Mike Rios didn't think he'd get plucked from the audience to start bidding. Not only did he land the closest opening bid on his first try, but it gave him the chance to play to win this Toyota Corolla. And he guessed its price! Mike's episode, which taped in December 2025, finally aired two weeks ago. If you'd like to see him win big, you can find the entire segment on episode 158 of season 54. Congratulations, Mike! 🎉💚

Alan C. donated his vehicle through Habitat’s Cars for Homes program. His family’s minivan carried them during Oregon and Washington road trips, explorations in Yellowstone and Grand Teton, and southwest adventures through the Grand Canyon and Mesa Verde National Park. It carted their daughter to volleyball tournaments and always returned everyone safe and sound back to Fresno. Alan installed a new transmission prior to donating and hopes the van’s next owner enjoys the ride!

Another year, another phenomenal golf tournament! We saw roughly 180 golfers join us on the course to play the day away. From golfing to eating to entering raffles, attendees had plenty to do. And we couldn't have done any of this without the support of our staff, volunteers, sponsors, and vendors.
