Lambda Alpha Epsilon - Phi Omega Alpha chapter, Fresno State

Hello everyone,

We are planning on hosting a retirement party for Dr. Olivares this Thursday the 7th at 6:30pm in McLane Hall 161. We encourage anyone who has worked with him or have been helped by him to come out and show you support and thanks for all that he has done for POA and the university. This will be a potluck style party and we invite you to bring food items if you’d like. Thank you everyone and we hope to see you this Thursday at 6:30pm in McLane Hall 161.

It has begun!!!

We are so proud of how our event went last Friday. Over 1,000 people attended, including students from Fresno State, Fresno City College, Fresno Pacific University, and even surrounding area high schools. Our continuing effort to connect students with career opportunities could not have been anywhere near as successful without support from our committee and board members, the Fresno State Dept. of Criminology, College of Social Sciences at Fresno State, Fresno State Career Development Center, and ASI.

A huge thank you also to Fresno State Criminology Alumni & Friends Chapter and Berlin Street Grill for their donations.

After a long anticipated wait and much discussion, a few alumni and I have decided to establish a new professional ACJA-LAE chapter.
For those still interested, we will be holding our professional chapters's first meeting on Thursday May 25th at 6:00PM. The agenda will include the following:

Hey everyone! I work for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central California and we are currently hiring an assistant for myself and another coordinator to help run our High School Bigs programs. We are a one-to-one mentoring agency that works with at-risk youth in the community. This experience allows you to witness the effects of crime and victimization on the children in the Central Valley. We need an assistant that can work 25 hours a week from about 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Friday. If you are interested, please text me at 618-0398 or send me a message.
