As the Underground Gardens settles into its’ time of rest, we want to take a moment to thank everyone that shared, visited, and supported us throughout the 2025 Tour Season. It is your love, care, and continuing appreciation of this special place that helps us continue to preserve it.
Our 2026 Tour Season is scheduled to begin on March 27th. Reservations are now available on our website.

The Underground Gardens is a truly unique California landmark and one thing that stands out to our visitors is that our team genuinely cares about Baldassare Forestiere’s legacy!
We are so thankful for every member of our team, both seen and unseen by our visitors, that continue to care for and share the Gardens with generations of aesthetic pilgrims (as Ric Forestiere would say).
Have you visited the Forestiere Underground Gardens yet?

Shaw Avenue continues to be closed, but we open!
We are recommending our visitors park along Forestiere Avenue and walk to our entrance on Shaw Avenue.
If you will be visiting us, please plan to arrive 20 minutes before your tour to allow time to locate our site, park, and check-in at our entrance.
Please call 559-271-0734 if you require assistance!

Due to the extensive High-Speed Rail-related construction taking place, including the closure of Shaw Avenue, on August 11th-12th accompanied by the Heat Advisory in place, we have made the decision to close on those days. This was a difficult decision for our team, but we feel it is for the best.
We plan to resume regular operation on Wednesday, August 13th.
