Growers in FID produce a wide array of crops that help feed communities across the nation. 🌱
In 2025, almonds remained the top crop by acreage, continuing to make up the largest share across the District. Citrus and corn also saw notable increases compared to 2020.

This week, we’re spotlighting Jennifer Mann, Account Clerk II at FID.
Jennifer works behind the scenes to help keep the District running smoothly, making sure invoices are processed accurately and on time. You can often find her in the office listening to music while staying in the zone and getting things done.

Since 2021, FID has secured more than $33 million in grant funding.
By combining grant funding with assessments, the District is able to stretch resources further and invest in projects that support landowners, including:
💧 Capturing more water during wet years
🌱 Expanding recharge capacity
💦 Improving water use efficiency

FID invests in annual maintenance to keep its infrastructure operating efficiently. During the 2025 maintenance season, the District’s maintenance team logged over 53,000 hours and completed more than 400 work orders across the system. 💧
