๐Ÿ”ฅ BUILDING SKILLS. STRENGTHENING OUR TEAM.

Over the past couple of days, Engineer Medearis and Firefighters Giamalva and Perry traveled to San Antonio to participate in hands-on wildland firefighting skills training!

Training like this is essential to building a stronger, more prepared team. These new skills enhance our capabilities, reinforce firefighter safety, and help ensure weโ€™re ready to respond when called upon.

This training also helps prepare our personnel for future TIFMAS (Texas Intrastate Fire Mutual Aid System) deployments, which allow fire departments across Texas to assist one another during major emergencies and disasters.

Weโ€™re proud of our members for their commitment to continued training and professional development. Preparation today makes us stronger, safer, and more effective when our communities need us most! ๐Ÿš’

๐Ÿš’ Honoring Service, Leadership & Commitment

Today, we recognized several members of our fire service family during a pinning ceremony, honoring their roles and continued commitment to serving our community.

A pinning ceremony is a proud fire service tradition. The badge or collar pin symbolizes responsibility, leadership, and dedication to the profession and the community we serve.

As part of todayโ€™s ceremony, each member chose one of our core values to share what it means to them personally and how they will carry it into their role.

Our Core Values - P.R.I.D.E. T.A.C.
- Professionalism
- Respect
- Integrity
- Discipline
- Excellence
- Training
- Accountability
- Commitment

These values guide our decisions, strengthen our team, and define how we serve our community.
Congratulations to Deputy Chief of Operations Loftin and Deputy Chief of Training Thomas, Battalion Chiefs Helton, Lawson, and Palacios, Captain Sander, Engineers Medearis, Welch, V. Lopez, and Firefighter Trevino!

We are proud of each of you and grateful for your dedication and service. ๐Ÿš’
