We were grateful to partner with Aviva Ministries for the Aviva Men’s Conference. Through our Ministry Training initiative, we support local ministries as they equip leaders and strengthen communities across the Central Valley.

Centered on the theme “No More Excuses!,” the day challenged men to identify and overcome the excuses that can keep them from fully living out God’s calling as sons, husbands, fathers and spiritual leaders.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for a day of biblical teaching, reflection and encouragement.

Bring biblical stories to life in a new way.

Join us for “Bringing the Story to Life: Theater Tools for Children’s Ministry” on Friday, Nov. 6, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Fresno Pacific University’s Ashley Auditorium.

Pastor Jason Fuller and Pastor Launa Grunau from Action Community Church will share practical tools including storytelling, stage presence, emotional expression, puppetry and simple plays to help children engage with Scripture. No theater experience is needed.

This workshop is offered in English and is designed for children’s ministry leaders who want fresh, practical ways to serve children and families.

Listening is where meaningful community engagement begins.

At CCT, we want to make sure the support we offer is shaped by the real needs of the communities we serve. Through these conversations, we’re listening to nonprofit leaders as they share their stories, challenges, successes, and hopes for the future.

One of the organizations we’ve had the opportunity to learn from is CityCenter, where we sat down with Kimiko Petersen to hear more about the incredible programs they provide for Fresno families and individuals who are in need of support and resources. We enjoyed hearing about what they’ve learned from the community they serve, what’s working well, and where they’re continuing to see challenges and opportunities.

What we learn through these conversations will directly inform the development and improvement of CCT workshops, courses, events, and other resources, helping us provide support that is practical, relevant, and responsive to the needs of our community.

We’re so thankful for the opportunity to learn from the incredible organizations serving our Valley!
