During National Disability Employment Awareness Month, we’re continuing the conversation around meaningful employment and the role local businesses and community partners can play in championing diversity and inclusive hiring.

Opening doors to employment creates more opportunities for people with developmental disabilities to contribute their strengths and participate in their communities.

Our next Primary Advisory Committee (PAC) meeting is coming up on November 5. PAC meetings give individuals and community members a place to hear updates, ask questions, share feedback, and stay connected to conversations affecting the CVRC community.

Cada persona y familia puede tener diferentes preguntas, metas, rutinas y formas de comunicarse y participar.

Por eso es importante que el apoyo sea individualizado. Las conversaciones sobre los servicios deben comenzar con la persona, lo que es importante para ella y las metas que desea alcanzar.

On World Inclusion Day, we’re reflecting on the everyday moments that help people feel connected to their communities: being part of conversations, having choices, sharing feedback, learning, working, and participating in ways that matter to them.

Last week, Bridging Horizons 2026 brought people together for two days of music, activities, conversation, and community connection. 💙

Held October 1–2, the event created opportunities for people to participate, learn, connect with others, and enjoy time together.

From moments on stage to conversations happening throughout the event, Bridging Horizons was a reminder of what can happen when people have space to come together and be part of the community.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make last week such a memorable gathering. 🤝
