Yesterday May 5, marks Missing and Murdered Indigenous Persons (MMIP) Awareness Day. A day to honor and remember Indigenous individuals who are missing, murdered, and impacted by violence. Native people continue to face disproportionately high rates of violence, with cases remaining underreported or unsolved. CVAHT will continue to learn, seek advisement from our native neighbors and advocate for data that reflects the true impact this has on native communities.

📣Employee Spotlight 📣
Outreach Coordinator Evelyn Gonzalez has worked with Fresno EOC for 21 years. She is also the original staff hired when CVAHT opened in 2009. She says that "her job is like a box of chocolates🍫...you never know what you're gonna get." Some fun facts: her first job was laying down paper so grapes 🍇could be turned into raisins; and she loves musica, except heavy metal, but it also depends on her mood.

Happy Administrative Professional's Day! Our team is thankful for Araitzia Rivera Wanless, Administrative Assistant for CVAHT. She loves having a team that she can call her friends. Fun fact is that she is an early bird and wants to learn how to grow plants to make her own tea.
