BAKERSFIELD:

The Department of Transportation (Caltrans) announces a daytime lane and ramp closure on State Route 58 on Monday, June 1, for guardrail repair operations.

The following will occur Monday, June 1st, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.:

• The #3 (right) lane of eastbound State Route 58 will be closed from Allen Road to Calloway Drive.
o This closure will include the eastbound State Route 58 off-ramp to Calloway Drive.

The Department of Transportation (Caltrans) announces one-way traffic control on State Route 41 starting next Tuesday in Madera County for brush removal and tree trimming operations.

The following will take place starting Tuesday, June 2nd, to Thursday, June 4th, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day:

• State Route 41 will operate under one-way traffic control from 1 mile east of Morava Road to Serpa Canyon Road.
o Drivers should expect delays of up to 15 minutes during work hours.

Caltrans removed an encampment on May 26th located on State Route 41 north of Ashlan Avenue in Fresno. During their work, Caltrans crews collected 2.5 cubic yards of debris. Affected individuals were offered services by our outreach partners.

FRESNO COUNTY —The Department of Transportation (Caltrans), in cooperation with Wylatti Resource Management, announces the following schedule update in part of the Fresno State Route 168 Culvert Rehabilitation Project in Fresno County.

The following will occur beginning June 1st:
• The contractor will continue rehabilitating a segment of culverts beginning at just west of Academy Oaks Lane and Thimbleberry Lane along State Route 168.
o To rehabilitate this segment of culverts, the contractor will be working Monday through Friday from 6:00am to 6:00pm.
• During the rehabilitation of these culverts, the contractor will be utilizing one-way reversing traffic control or lane reductions to perform the work.
o The contractor will be conducting one-way reversing traffic control with the use of flagging personnel through the work zone. Commuters are reminded to obey flagging personnel and pay close attention to road construction vehicles and personnel.

Closures may continue for longer periods of time, if necessary, due to delays caused by weather or uncontrollable events that may occur.

Caltrans Construction personnel remind you to drive with extra care and allow additional travel time while travelling in the construction area. Please be alert for Road Construction Personnel and “Slow for the Cone Zone.”

CONDADO DE FRESNO – El Departamento de Transportación, (Caltrans), en cooperación con Wylatti Resource Management, anuncia la siguiente actualización del proyecto en el condado de Fresno para rehabilitar las alcantarillas sobre la Ruta Estatal 168.

Ocurrirá lo siguiente empezando el 1 de junio:
• El contratista continuará rehabilitando un segmento de alcantarillas entre un punto situado al oeste de Academy Oaks Lane y Thimbleberry Lane a lo largo de la Ruta Estatal 168.
o Para rehabilitar este segmento de alcantarillas, el contratista estará trabajando lunes a viernes de las 6:00am a 6:00pm.
• Durante la rehabilitación de las alcantarillas, el contratista utilizará control de tráfico alterno unidireccional para llevar a cabo los trabajos.
o El contratista implementará un control de tráfico alterno unidireccional en la zona de trabajo, con el apoyo de personal de señalización. Se recuerda a los conductores que deben obedecer las indicaciones del personal de señalización y prestar especial atención a los vehículos y al personal de construcción vial.

Las clausuras pueden continuar por períodos más largos causados por el clima o eventos fuera de nuestro control. Se aconseja a los conductores planificar en consecuencia.

Caltrans le recuerda a los conductores que deben obedecer las indicaciones del personal de construcción y prestar mucha atención a los vehículos y al personal que trabaja en la zona de trabajo.

MADERA COUNTY: A section of State Route 41, north of Coarsegold, will be under one-way traffic control for two days next week. Crews will be clearing brush and trimming trees, between the Broken Bit Restaurant and Serpa Canyon Road. The traffic control will be on the 27th and 28th from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm both days. Please plan accordingly as delays are expected.
