Thank you to everyone who believed in this campaign! I am incredibly proud that we made it to the runoff in November. My opponent had all the odds in his favor. We were out-funded and he had the full weight of the Republican and Democratic establishment against our campaign- yet they still could not beat us out of this race. You all invested with your time and money because you believe in a better future for our city. Now more than ever I will need my community to help us win this in November- and to meet money with heart, community and strategy.
¡Gracias a todos los que creyeron en esta campaña! Estoy increíblemente orgulloso que vamos a avanzar a Noviembre. Mi rival tenía todas las probabilidades a su favor, con mucho dinero y todos los politicos republicano y demócrata que estaban en contra de nuestra campaña. Pero no pudieron derrotarnos. Todos ustedes invirtieron con su dinero y tiempo porque creen en un futuro mejor para nuestra ciudad. Ahora más que nunca necesitaré que mi comunidad me ayude a ganar en noviembre. Enfrentaremos el dinero con corazón, comunidad, y estrategia.
