Today, we recognize and celebrate the change he has made possible while acknowledging the heavy work that comes before us. Let’s move forward with love and kindness.

Another great evening connecting with neighbors and community leaders!

I was invited to join a local Neighborhood Watch meeting. This was a reminder that real change starts block by block, with residents who care deeply about keeping our communities safe and strong.💪🏽

This group does more than just run — they build community by choosing routes through Downtown, Fresno High, and the Tower District, and always supporting local businesses along the way. Their energy and commitment to civic engagement remind us that being part of a community means showing up — whether that’s for a run or to make your voice heard at the ballot box.

Honoring Indigenous Peoples’ Day with deep gratitude. I had the privilege of participating in a Tula ceremony and was given the honor of joining in dance. This was a moment grounded in culture and connection to the land. May we continue to uplift and honor the traditions, wisdom, and resilience of Indigenous peoples every day.

I spent an evening celebrating the incredible work Centro La Familia does empowering Fresno families through advocacy, legal aid, and vital community services. When we partner with nonprofits like Centro, we amplify our impact and build a stronger, more united Fresno.

I was excited to meet Tilón Chávez, former Chivas and Mexico national team player! Now retired, he continues to inspire and mentor young athletes to chase their dreams.
Listening to my mom’s spicy commentary during soccer games is one of my favorite memories growing up — it felt good to feel that connection again at Inspiration Park. ❤️ With events like this, Fresno proves we can bring in more well-known figures and keep shining as the place to be!

What does community look like to you? For me, it’s standing with every group working to make Fresno safer for our kids, a place where families can earn a living and still have time to enjoy our parks and local businesses.
