SWA wishes to thank Bill Davis (Trowzers Akimbo) for his outstanding demonstration of Cubist Style work. With the support of his wife and model, Betty, we gained valuable insight into his approach to line, form, and color. We appreciated our interactions with Bill throughout the Demo.

The Valley Chapter of SWA is celebrating the amazing work of member Artist Linda Lamb. We presented only a small number of art spanning a career of over 50 years. Linda is one of the founding members of SWA in the Valley. Her show is being hosted at the Fresno Arts Council Gallery during the month of January. We honor her work and support of the Fresno Art Community.

Ma Ly, Artist and Art Educator, completed a demonstration of a landscape miniature (pic 1) for our organization SWA. Upon completion, he presented me with a portrait (pic 2). The most amazing aspect was the likeness and the size of the painting (pic 3). We extend our thanks to Ma Ly for sharing his time and talent with SWA.

The Valley Chapter of SWA would like to thank Ma Ly, an artist and art educator, for his demonstration on miniature painting techniques. Ma Ly uses impressionistic styles when creating these small works of art. Watching him create his mini-landscape was a pleasure. We are grateful for the time and talent he shared with those in attendance. A photo with a collection of his miniatures has been added, which includes a coin to provide perspective on the size of his paintings.

With great pleasure, SWA-SJVC would like to invite you to our upcoming Art Demo. Ma Ly is set to give us a demonstration of his technique in miniature painting. Ma is a full time artist and teaches to adults and children. SWA would like to use elements of Ma's demonstration in our upcoming February exhibition. Please join us at the Door Art Gallery on Saturday, November 23rd (11:00-1:00). The Door Gallery is located at 3073 W. Bullard Ave Fresno.
