Ben has too much time on his hands

I was called weird by my wife and told “that’s not ok brah” by my son. They asked me to make them a PB&J and were shocked to see I put all the ingredients on one slice of bread then cover it with a plain slice. Apparently they put one ingredient on each slice but I’m the weird one?

Reason 14,721 why I’ll never be allowed to work in a nursing home or run the cake walk stand ever again.

Both of these ladies wanted the cake so I had them arm wrestle for it. Check out the expressions of everyone in each photo.

In the end they both got a cake and we got a story to tell until next year.

This place could be amazing. But in my opinion it’s not there and at the current direction, I don’t think it’ll even make it to great. Full disclosure, I know one of the partners in this restaurant and when he owned a food trailer, I thought his food was so good that I gave him a sticker and one of my “Congratulations your food doesn’t suck” trophy.

Place I’m talking about is Chick&Bunz in Morrilton. Great location and the menu looks good but our dinner wasn’t. I think what saddened me the most were the fries. Soggy, undercooked and not what they were when he owned the food trailer. The chicken though was cooked to absolute perfection.

To me this place is trying to be like a “normal” restaurant with seating people and having to put an order and get refills with a waitstaff.

It should be set up more where you go in, order your food at the counter and the staff just walk around refilling drinks while you go play in their large game room. Oh I didn’t tell you about that? Yeah…..they have arcade games and board games. This place should be a cool community hangout and not a “regular” restaurant.

I did find it absolutely hilarious that they had my picture framed at the door.

$10 is up for grabs. Genesis of Conway said I can give away 2 free oil changes and a tire rotation to whoever buys my cake at the Sacred Heart Bazaar in Morrilton happening today from 1-9.

Here’s why someone will get $10 cash. I was supposed to make a really nice certificate to give away. Instead I spent my time at a buffet and then was too full to do anything.

First person to find me and give me a nicely decorated “gift certificate looking paper” that at the top has Genesis of Conway. Then have a place that individually shows each oil change and tire rotation with a box to be checked when each is done and a manager to sign. Yep I’m outsourcing it.

The writing MUST BE in Crayon. None of that AI stuff. Oh and it must be fun looking. You’re not interviewing for an art scholarship. The paper can just be a regular computer paper that you decorated. No fancy paper is needed.

So get to it and have some fun.

Free food, if you’re into that sort of thing.

Everyone wants me to be all nice and kind to restaurants and normally I’m like a gentle lamb. I tell you what, here’s my experience and you tell me if I’m spot on or a jerk.

I went to Classics Sandwiches yesterday and again today. First time I went I was so upset with the food that I had to come back. Ok so let’s start with the good. The owner is a very nice lady and she’s doing the parenting thing right by having her daughter work with her and learn how to deal with mean people like me. That’s it. That’s all the good stuff.

On to what upset me. The food. HOW DARE she cook food where I can’t say “I could make that better at home”. This lady makes food with so much flavor that not only tastes amazingly fresh but is designed to reheat well.

Oh and I also hate that it’s so easy to get into the parking lot for food but it’s almost impossible to leave. That’s because she’s parked at Toad Suck Harley-Davidson. So me being me, I had to go in and ask to try on some of their stuff. Just FYI, they REALLY frown if you ask “do I have to wear pants with those leather assless chaps?”

So anyway, if you want some delicious food go give them a try. Oh and if you go tomorrow, you can eat anything off her menu for free. Courtesy of the Harley dealership.

Forgot to mention. They’re open Tuesday-Saturday for breakfast and lunch. Yeah, they do breakfast and do it right.

Not just I need your help but the best taco truck in the state needs your help. Taqueria Ramirez is needing help with their blueprints in getting modified so the codes people approve them moving into the restaurant building and out of the truck.
