Also, at tonight’s City Council meeting, Fire Chief Lee Glover and the Frisco Fire Department received an award of achievement from the Texas State Fire Marshal’s Office for earning an Insurance Services Office (ISO) Class 1 Public Protection Classification rating.

The ISO Class 1 rating is the highest classification awarded by the ISO and evaluates the fire departments based on three primary areas: emergency communications, fire department capabilities, and the community’s water supply system.

Frisco’s Fire Chief is retiring after 35 years of service to the Frisco community. Chief Lee Glover will end his service to the Frisco Fire Department on August 3, 2026. Chief Glover worked his way up through department ranks, becoming a first-time firefighter in 1991 and ultimately becoming Fire Chief in 2023.

Reminder: The City of Frisco will test its emergency notification tool, CodeRED, at 10 a.m. tomorrow - Thursday, April 2. The test alert is dependent on weather conditions and won't be sent if storms are in the area.

Frisco’s test alert on April 2 will read: “Message from the City of Frisco. This is a TEST of the emergency notification system. There is not an emergency. No action is needed. End of message.”
