🎃 ROGERS STORYBOOK PUMPKIN PATCH IS COMING! 🎃

We're growing a Storybook Pumpkin Patch in the Rogers Elementary Library, October 26–30, and we want YOUR creative designs! Transform a pumpkin into a character from your favorite book and bring it to school to "plant" in our patch! Classes will be voting on their favorites throughout the week, and every participating student earns a prize! 🏆

📌 Quick Rules to Remember:
❌ NO CARVED OR PUNCTURED PUMPKINS (no cuts, holes, or spray paint!)
🎨 Use: Acrylic paint, markers, yarn, buttons, & googly eyes
🏀 Size: No larger than a basketball (students must carry their own pumpkin)
🗓️ Drop-off: Monday, Oct 26 @ 7:30 AM in the Learning Lab
🗓️ Pick-up: Friday, Oct 30 (unclaimed pumpkins thrown away after 3:30 PM)

Be sure to attach your completed entry form with your character description!

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle: Plastic Bag & Film Drive (Oct 19–23)

Join us in making our campus greener! From October 19–23, our school is competing to recycle the most plastic bags and plastic film. Help us win by dropping off clean, stretchy plastic bags and film at designated recycling bins around campus.

Remember the 3 Rs:

Reduce: Say no to single-use bags whenever possible.

Reuse: Bring your own reusable totes when you shop.

Recycle: Bring your plastic bags and film to our collection points during drive week!

Together, we can keep plastic out of landfills and help our school take top honors. Let’s make every bag count! 🪖 Attention Rogers Families! October is Math Fact Fluency Month! 🔢✨

We are officially launching our campus-wide Math Fact Boot Camp, and we need your help to make it a huge success! Our goal this month is simple: build student confidence, motivation, and automaticity with their grade-level math facts.

How can you support at home?
Keep it quick, positive, and consistent! Just 5 minutes of practice a day can make a massive difference in building your child’s math confidence and fact mastery.

Here are 3 easy ways to practice at home:

- Flashcard Dash: Keep a deck handy for a quick 5-minute review in the car or before dinner.

- Make It Everyday: Ask math facts while cooking, riding in the car, or waiting in line!

- Keep It Fun: Check your child’s weekly newsletter for fun digital games and quick practice ideas!

Rai$e with Rogers is off to an incredible start! We're only one week in, and we've already raised over $15,000 with only 18% of our students participating!

But even more than the money we're raising, our hope is that every student will get to enjoy the classroom incentives that come with participation! It is SO EASY to get set up! Simply head to rogerselementarypta.membershiptoolkit.com/open_forms to get started. If you already have a PTA profile, be sure to update your family information to reflect your student's teacher for this year. If you're new to PTA, you'll be prompted to create your profile.

We've already started celebrating fundraising milestones with popsicle parties and slushies this week! Next week, classes start getting dress-up days, stuffy sleepovers, and ice cream sundaes during a picnic lunch. You can help your kiddo's class enjoy these same perks by sharing their donation page today!

And a special CONGRATULATIONS to Ms. Campbell for being our highest-raising class week 1! Enjoy your gift card.

Don’t forget, we’ll be capping off our Rai$e with Rogers Rodeo with a prize celebration during GMR on October 2 (EVERY donation earns at least one entry!) and an inflatable celebration day on October 8 for all Rogers students.

Yeehaw! Our annual PTA Rai$e for Rogers Rodeo is off to an amazing start! Check out our school-wide leaderboard to see where each class stands!

Your student may have come home today talking about the fun incentives their class has started earning and the ones they hope to achieve! You can view all of the incentives below, but highlights include a Stuffy Sleepover ✨ think Elf on the Shelf magic for our SLC - 2nd grade classes ✨ and PTA Pranks Your Teacher for 3rd-5th grade classes at the $1000 milestone!

In fact, TWO classes have already met their class goals and scheduled all of the fun incentives.

If you want to help your student and their class to get in on the fun, you simply have to log in to your PTA account (or join the PTA) to get their Rai$e for Rogers page set up! Special Note for returning Rogers families: be sure to go to your family information and update your student’s teacher for the 2026 school year to ensure their class gets credit for their fundraising.

To encourage individual involvement, our top earners in each grade will get to appear on morning announcements this Thursday and next Thursday! And top-earning teachers will receive gift cards each week and at the end of our fundraiser. We will close out Rai$e with Rogers fun-filled Prize Assembly on Friday, 10/2, where students can win raffle prizes for their individual fundraising, as well as a school-wide inflatable celebration on Thursday, 10/8 for ALL STUDENTS as a thank you for all their hard work and commitment to Rai$ing for Rogers.

Thank you to everyone who has shared your student’s page or made a donation yourself. Your contribution allows our PTA to provide support in the form of special events & programs for students, teacher appreciation, class parties, the house shirts that came last week, classroom materials, and campus improvements. We truly could not do any of this without you!
