🧺 LOADS OF LOVE – SCHEDULE UPDATE! ❤️

Please note that we will NOT be offering laundry assistance on the 3rd Saturday of October, as our team will be out of town.

❤️ HOW WE CAN HELP!

We'll provide a variety of laundry products and cover the cost of washing and drying ONE mega washer load and TWO dryers per household!

🧺 IMPORTANT REMINDER:
To ensure everyone has time to finish their laundry, please have your clothes transferred to the dryers no later than 5:30 PM, at least 30 minutes before our outreach ends.

Thank you to the REC members who participate in The Power of Change.

Your voluntary donations helped Hope and Rest Temporary shelter with basic needs for our homeless friends like fresh foods, meals for lunches and clean bedding. The two refrigerators were a blessing to us as a shelter as our old one quit working right before we were able to get the grant. It was perfect timing!

More enrolled members can mean more funding available to support local nonprofits. Enroll a myrec.coop/donate.

🦃 3rd Annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner at On Cue! 🧡

Thanksgiving is about more than what's on the table. It's about the people gathered around it, giving back, and making sure everyone has a place to enjoy a holiday meal.

For the third year, we're opening our doors and inviting our community to join us for Thanksgiving dinner!

Come as you are, bring your family, bring a friend, or come make some new ones! Dinner is on us, but if you'd like to contribute whatever dollar amount you feel comfortable with, donations are always appreciated and will go toward supporting our community partners, Hope and Rest Temporary Shelter and Reaching Out Now. No expectations, just good food, good company, and a little holiday cheer!

❤️ Giving Back Beyond Our Tables

Last year, our community absolutely blew us away! Together, we collected just under $8,000 in monetary donations, over 78 turkeys, 40 hams, and more than 75 pies! That's an incredible amount of generosity, and we're still so grateful for everyone who helped make it happen.

This year, we're excited to once again partner with Reaching Out Now to provide 45 local families with everything they need to enjoy Thanksgiving at home. Each family will receive a turkey or ham, all the traditional fixings, and dessert!

Want to help us make it happen?

We'll be accepting store-bought pies and monetary donations to help purchase everything needed for these holiday meals.

And a little note about turkeys! 🦃 As you can see from last year's numbers, you all REALLY came through with the turkeys! 😂 This year, rather than dropping off frozen turkeys, we'd love for you to donate any free turkey vouchers you may have or contribute toward the cost of the meals. We're happy to handle the shopping!

Any additional contributions beyond what's needed for our 45 families will go toward supporting our partnering organizations and their continued efforts in our community.

All donations can be dropped off at On Cue Sports Bar & Grill, 206 E. Main Street, Front Royal.

Three years of bringing people together, sharing a meal, and watching this community show up for one another. That's what makes this tradition so special to us.

HARTS is grateful to have received a grant from The Power of Change, made possible by voluntary donations from REC members.

With this support, we were able to purchase two new refrigerators, provide clean bedding weekly for our guests and provide canned foods and fresh foods for their lunches.

REC members can help power the next local grant by enrolling at myrec.coop/donate.
