Bound Together: The Craft of Bookmaking opens tonight, Tuesday, October 13, at 5pm at the Hunt Branch Library gallery space! Stop by to explore the space and talk with museum and library staff about the exhibit.

Curated by FMC Creative Supervisor Shay Jones and Museum Coordinator Jozef Chavez, this exhibit brings a closer look at the evolution of crafting books and invites guests to discover the intricate art of printed words that
we so often take for granted.

Join Cal State LA Professor of Ancient History, Dr. Timothy Doran, for MUMMIES!—a fascinating, family-friendly exploration of mummification. We’re excited to share that the Main Library is expanding its hours on Fridays and Saturdays!

Beginning October 2, the Library will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on both days, giving you two extra hours each day to stop by, browse our shelves, and discover all that the Library has to offer.

In 1957, Fullerton started the first bookmobile service in Orange County. The initial collection, primarily for adults, targeted the “interests of the homemaker” and made stops at local shopping centers and grocery stores. Pictured is Fullerton’s own Barbara Weber. In 2004, she retired after 36 years of library service, most of it on the Bookmobile. She was around so long that the kids on her route thought she lived in it!

Join us at Hunt Branch Library on Saturday, September 5 for a wild reptile adventure featuring a 10-foot snake, lizards, an alligator, and more from the Reptile Zoo of Fountain Valley! Meet and pet these incredible animals while discovering the fascinating world of reptiles.

Free admission, limited to 100 guests per hour, with four ticketed sessions. Face painting and kids' crafts will also be available.
