We wrapped up our 2026 Summer Reading Program by traveling back in time to Ancient Egypt! πŸœοΈπŸ“š

Our young readers learned all about the incredible pyramids of Ancient Egyptβ€”why they were built, how they were constructed, and why they continue to amaze people thousands of years later.

Then, working in teams, our engineers built their own pyramids using marshmallows and toothpicks. Both teams showed off some fantastic teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving skills, creating some impressively sturdy structures!

Thank you to everyone who joined us throughout this year's Summer Reading Program. We had an unforgettable summer full of learning, creativity, laughter, and fun. We hope to see you all again next summer! πŸ’™πŸ“–

πŸ¦– This week at our Summer Reading Program, we explored the world of dinosaurs with the help of Fulton County Extension Agents Anna Morgan and Bernita Chiers!

Our young readers learned the difference between carnivores and herbivores and put their new knowledge to the test with a few fun games and a round of trivia. We enjoyed pudding cups for a snack! Hidden inside each cup were sprinkles shaped like either leaves or bones, revealing whether the eater was a herbivore or a carnivore. 🌿🦴

We also got creative by making our own dinosaur fossils out of salt dough to take home. It was a dino-mite afternoon filled with learning and fun!

Thank you to Anna and Bernita for sharing their knowledge and helping make our program such a success! πŸ¦•
