Brian spruced up the set works, and he and Dewey reinstalled it back on the carriage.
They adjusted the head blocks, and we checked the elevation and leveled the tracks.
We are ready for the show, Sept. 9-12, 2026

This is our “new to us” Farquhar sawmill.
Plans are being made to restore the mill and build a timber-frame sawmill building that will also house a stationary Atlas steam-engine and boiler.

Testing the adjustments made to the track and saw blade position (lead).

Before and after pressure washing the carriage and head-blocks.
We are very close to testing the mill now that the track is flat and straight.

Final step to straighten the track for the log carriage.
Elevated the carriage on jack-stands, so that a string could be stretched to help align the ribbed side of the track.
We are very close to installing the saw blade to check and adjust the lead.
