What a beautiful celebration of culture, heritage, and community at Fultondale Elementary today! 🇲🇽🇵🇷🇨🇴🇸🇻🇭🇳

Our students had the opportunity to celebrate Hispanic Heritage through music, dancing, and learning about the rich cultures and traditions that make our FES family so special.

We are so thankful for the incredible community support that helped make today’s celebration possible. Watching our students proudly share their culture, learn from one another, and celebrate together was truly special!

At FES, we celebrate that every student, every family, and every culture is an important piece of our Fultondale Elementary puzzle.

Building Bridges, Connecting Families, and Celebrating Community!

We had a wonderful evening at our Annual ESL Resource Night, hosted in partnership with Fultondale High School! This special event brought our ESL families together for an evening of fellowship, connection, and valuable resources.

Families shared a delicious potluck meal , connected with one another, and had the opportunity to meet with community bilingual resource vendors who provided information and support available to our families.

Our Kindergarteners and 1st Graders had a blast celebrating Johnny Appleseed Day with hands-on activities, tastetesting, and crafts!

We had a very successful Money War supporting our incredible FES PTA! Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make it such a fun and successful fundraiser. We are so grateful for your continued support of our students and school!

Arts Now is in full force at Fultondale Elementary!

We had an amazing week getting our teachers trained in visual arts and having the opportunity to model and demo lessons within our grade-level classrooms. It was so exciting to see our teachers and students bring learning to life through creativity, collaboration, and the arts!

Look at the amazing work happening from Kindergarten all the way to 5th grade! 🎨

Kindergarten: Students told the story of The Three Little Pigs by creating story sculptures.

1st Grade: Students brought The Boy Who Cried Wolf to life through puppets.

2nd Grade: Students explored Pecos Bill by creating relief sculptures using packing peanuts.

3rd Grade: Students created mini museums to showcase their learning about vertebrates and invertebrates.

4th Grade: Students used the story The Year I Got Polio as inspiration to create feelings maps and collages, connecting the story to emotions and self-expression.

5th Grade: Students connected history and art by creating postcards inspired by the Roaring Twenties and the Crash.

We are so proud of the incredible learning taking place at FES! Arts integration gives our students another way to think, create, communicate, and show what they know. ❤️
