Annual Fall Ride - this year to the Claw area in Virginia. Little chilly and “damp” Sat morning with temps in the 30s, but awesome riding the Blue Ridge Parkway, and multiple twisty back roads in the area. Stopped at a winery for tastings, and at Mabry Mill - which we learned has a personal familial connection (Great Grandmother) to one of our Legion Riders 😃. Good times and great rides!

Ran our quarterly water run to the USO today. The weather forecast brought us in cages but we still show up in force. Love this team!

I know a lot of you have been asking about our rider that went down Mon evening. I am happy to say that the update is positive from today. He is moving both sides of his body now and they are trying to to get him off the vent. He has several broken bones and took quite the shot to his head so he is not out of the woods yet.

Riders: It’s that time of year (due to State Coordinators 31 December) where you need to start considering who in your Chapter you are going to nominate for the American Legion Rider of Honor! I’m sure all of you have an individual that does most if not all of the work but has never been recognized for their efforts to keep your Chapter strong and riding in support of the Legion. We are riding for our enjoyment but one of the reasons is in support of our Veterans and their service to our Nation through their Legion membership. So consider who in your Chapter deserves this recognition and go to our webpage, alroh.hardinpost113.com, fill out the paperwork and submit their name and accomplishments to your State Coordinator. If your State does not have a coordinator, submit directly to me at the address on the webpage.
Let’s get these great people recognized for all that they do to keep us strong. Remember, it costs nothing but a little bit of your time!
