Advancement in this role requires a unique blend of specialized training and experience. Our Telecommunicators are the vital "first" first responders. They are the calm voice in moments of crisis, the lifeline for our officers in the field, and the guiding hand for our community members during their most critical moments.

Congratulations, Hannah and Shelby! We are so proud of your hard work and dedication to Fuquay-Varina.

🌸 Spreading Smiles Across Fuquay-Varina! 🌸

Our officers had a wonderful time today partnering with Flowers on Broad Street for the annual Petal It Forward event! 💐

Organized by the Society of American Florists (SAF), this global goodwill event highlights the science-backed health benefits of flowers while spreading joy throughout our community. Our officers were out in town handing out bouquets to random residents—each person received two: one to keep and one to "Petal It Forward" to someone else!

It was a beautiful way to brighten some smiles and share a little extra joy today. A huge thank you to Donna and the entire staff at Flowers on Broad Street for their incredible generosity in providing the flowers!

💙 Walking Together. Supporting One Another.

This morning, a few members of the Fuquay-Varina Police Department as well as members of their family joined our community at the Out of the Darkness Walk at the North Main Athletic Complex in Holly Springs.

Prior to the walk, Detective Williscroft served as one of the keynote speakers, highlighting the prevalence of su***de among first responders and the importance of prioritizing mental health. Because first responders regularly face difficult and traumatic situations, recognizing the impact of this work and seeking support are essential.

This annual event raises money for the American Foundation for Su***de Prevention to help fund research, create educational programs, advocate for public policy, and support survivors of su***de loss.

Our officers walked to raise awareness and stand with those affected by su***de. We are extremely proud of Detective Williscroft for helping to break the stigma surrounding mental health and grateful to everyone who participated.

Let’s continue to look out for one another and remind those who may be struggling that they are not alone. 💙
