Lookout Mountain Community Center is located at 4567 Lay Springs Road. It is a beautiful building and setting. It is also the area polling location.
It is available for event rental and community events. The Lookout Mountain Community center is OPEN once again to those who wish to use the facility for events, reunions, weddings, meetings, etc. We are pleased to announce this after our board meeting today. All restrictions have been lifted and there are no special precautions necessary. Rates will change effective July 1 2021. The rate will be

The Community Watch Meeting has been cancelled. The person coordinating the meeting has a health issue. It will be rescheduled at a later date. Sorry for any inconvenience.
Candidate Open House:
Come out on Tuesday April 26th at 6:00 PM to the Candidate Meet and Greet Open House. We are hosting the County Candidates for Primary elections. Refreshments will be provided. Come fellowship with the candidates and your neighbors. Each candidate will be given an opportunity to speak on their goals and platform. Come support your favorite candidate or find a favorite candidate. Looking forward to seeing you there!
The Board discussed at the last meeting about creating a Neighborhood Watch. This would be done with instruction and under the auspices of the Etowah County Sheriff Department. If anyone is interested in creating and being a part of this, please reply and let us know if it is something the community wants. Thank you

Etowah County Sheriff Jonathon W Horton is excited to announce August 10, 2021at 6:00pm for a community meeting being held at Lookout Mountain Community Center on Lay Springs Rd. The purpose of these meeting is to give the citizens of this county a better way to connect with the Sheriff’s Office. During these meetings a presentation will be made about what the sheriff’s Office does, be informed on crime tips and projects being worked on.
Sheriff Horton, deputies and Investigators will be on hand to answer any questions and listen to concerns. Light refreshments will be provided.

We had our first annual Christmas party yesterday. It was a great time of fellowship and music to kick off the Christmas season. The center was beautifully decorated and the food was delicious. The Highland Ambassadors sang and danced. They were amazing! Thanks to all involved. Merry Christmas!
We have an event that you will love! The first annual Community Christmas party. It will be held on Sunday December the 8th at 2:00 PM. The Highland Elementary Ambassadors will be singing for us. We ask you to bring a plate of finger food or snacks if possible. We will be decorated and have some Christmas music and sing alongs. Hope you can come out and fellowship to kick off the Christmas season.
