Most of you know they consolidated many poll places in Etowah county. Whorton bend is a small box. Ours was in jeopardy. Thank you Judge Hassell for not cutting ours out. Thank you Commissioner Craig Inzer Jr. For helping keep ours open. Then 3 weeks ago we had zero poll workers. They ask me to help. First 6 people I called said absolutely they would help do it so it would be able to stay open. Thank our poll workers for their service today. They volunteered to help WB. Randy Word, Becky Word, Kevin Payne, Beth Payne, Lynn Taylor, and Gregg Thompson we are so thankful for each of you.

I have just been informed that a crew working to install AT&T underground cable has damaged a water main in Blue Lakes on Arrowhead Trail. I have dispatched a crew to make the necessary repairs but this may interfere with water service once the repair begins. I will keep you updated as to time or estimated repair.
